labtastic2006 – reminder for submissions
30th is the deadline for your playlists.
so far the silence has been deafening…
consider this a kick up the arse.
once i’ve seen the nod from you all, rich and i will let you upload
your mp3s, videos and html to the server in readiness for phase II.
here’s the guidelines again:
once you’ve got your playlist, update the album title in the following
manner:
labtastic 2006 – [your name] – [playlist name]
if you don’t want to screw up the originals, in iTunes you can drag the
playlist into a folder and use something like tuneTags to change the
field before re-importing them – you’ll end up with two copies,
obviously, but disk space is cheap these days, so quit whining…
to summarise:
3 playlists [correctly tagged]
something you’ve made [ideally video]
html holding page, just like last year
plenty of space, but let me know if you plan > 400mb…

Hitler cat sighting!
Unbelievably, after laughing myself sick on Friday at the Hitler Cat
website (hitlercats.motime.com/) offerings Talia and I spotted
an elusive fascist feline in Islington one street from our house!
Check out the hypnotic, piercing gaze…… It’s by no means a
coincidence that at the time I took this picture the cat was headed
roughly in the direction of Poland!!
Now as you may know, both of our cats are “Blackshirts” right enough
but is this an alarming trend spreading unseen throughout the country
and the world?
I’ve seen The Boys From Brazil and frankly, this sort of thing is
scaring me……

logging, so i’ve found a whole bunch of
missed mail.
anway, this one is a particular treat, unfortunately s/he left no

Why do you have a picture of my President giving the finger? You are
a loser and are obsessed with America! Why do you care so much about
America you loser? Get a life!!!! America is the best country in
the world! I think about Great Britian for about 1 minute for the
whole year and all you speak of is America, why is that? Think about
what I am saying and you will come to the conclusion that you are
jealous of America!!!

“What we have discovered is pretty unbelievable,” said Dorgan last
week. “We have direct testimony from physicians, Army doctors, and
others about providing nonpotable water for shaving, brushing teeth
that is in worse condition as water than the raw water coming out of
the Euphrates River.”
“Let me describe some of the firsthand eyewitness issues in Iraq,”
Dorgan continued. “Brand new $85,000 trucks that were left on the side
of the road because of a flat tire and then subsequently burned. 25
tons, 50,000 pounds, of nails ordered by Kellogg, Brown & Root (KBR),
the wrong size, that are laying in the sands of Iraq. 42,000 meals a
day charged to the taxpayers by Halliburton and only 14,000 are
actually served.”

RFID RFC
This reveals some interesting possibilities….

RFID – RFC
I was wondering whether the application of a heavy-duty “rare-earth”
magnet of the kind readily available on eBay in packets of 50
(stores.ebay.co.uk/PowerMagnetStore_Disc-Magnets_W0QQfsubZ2)
would screw with the Oystercard readers on the Seventy-Free.
If the scientifically literate on the list can tell me whether I’d be
wasting my time/money or “It’s crazy, but it just might work!” I’d
appreciate it.
Oh and for the paranoid out there (we know who you are) http://
